What is Long Term Care?
Long Term Care is what you might need if you can no longer perform some of the daily tasks of living by yourself. For example, there might be a time you need help getting dressed, bathing, or eating. Or, you might need assistance with a severe cognitive impairment like Alzheimer's Disease. You can receive this care in a variety of settings, including in an Assisted Living Facility or in your own home.The need for long term care usually results from age or chronic illness. It is estimated that 60% of us who are 65 or older will need some form of long term care at some point in our lives.
